SOURCE; Great Bread Machine Recipes by Norman A. Garrett, copyright 1992. ISBN # 0-8069-8724-3..Formatted by URsula R. Taylor... Although not an extremely sweet bread, it is very flavorful. The nuts give it a great crunch, especially if added during the mix cycle. Follow manufacturers directions. NOTES: 1.For Panasonic/National Machines, use 3 1/2 tsp. of yeast for th 1 1/2 lb. loaf. 2. For DAK/Welbilt machines, use 5 tbsp. of warm water for the 1 1/2 lb. loaf. 3. For best results, add the raisins and chopped nuts after the first mixing. If your machine has a mix cycle, use it and add the raisins and nuts at the "Mix" beep.
